Overview
The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities asked us to create an immersive experience, designed to engage their visitors in line with their mission.
The result is Gears of Gozen, a virtual experience telling the forgotten tales of the Onna-Musha- the female warriors of pre-modern Japan. By stepping into history, visitors can learn and foster empathy and connection through active participation.

"The Museum wants to be a place where people experience, are challenged, and contribute to new insights and perspectives on our world. Exhibitions, educational activities, and programs provide a rich selection that stimulates reflection and curiosity."
Our mission.

Gears of Gozen
The experience is a unique chance to delve into Japan’s rich cultural heritage while uncovering the powerful and often overlooked stories of female warriors. Guided by Tomoe Gozen, the most renowned female samurai in Japanese history, visitors navigate the experience through a painting with different modules, each represented by essential objects to te Onna-Musha.
Additionally- with the integration of conversational AI, visitors can engage with Tomoe Gozen in real time, asking questions about her life, personal stories, the Onna-Musha, or anything that sparks their curiosity. This demo was built using UE5, Blender and additional addons such as Metahuman, Metatailor, and ConvAI.
